M.E.Ch.A. de CSUF's
21st Annual
Día de los Muertos
Memorial Wall
Throughout the day we will have a Memorial Wall that be located on the opposite side of our two altars. The Memorial Wall is community aspect of the event as well as a place for students to participate freely.
The Memorial Wall will consist of the following:
-
Calaveras Literarias and Poems that were submitted to us will be displayed all around the wall.
-
Blank skulls like the one on the left will be avaliable on the day of the event. Traditionally when people make sugar skulls they write the name of a deceased loved one on the forehead. This was done because the skull represents a departed soul, but this was also a way to honor the return of that particular soul. For those interested, you can get a few of these blank paper skulls and write the name of a dearly departed one you want to honor on the forehead and also decorate them.
